New Research Publication: Long-Term Quality of Life after Injury in Youth Athletes
Key Message for Parents and Young Athletes: While there is an inherent risk of injury associated with sport participation, this study provides re-assurance that young athletes generally recover and/or preserve their quality of life 1 and 2 years after injury.
New Youth Sports Research Study Publication
Our multi-center research team evaluated health-related quality of life (HRQoL) outcomes in 357 youth athletes ages 8-18 one month after injury. Injury types evaluated included acute injuries such as fractures or sprains, overuse injuries such as Little Leaguer’s shoulder, and concussions.
